What are the factors that led the US into WWI? Even thought this war was fought in Europe, it placed a great burden on the US. Why? How? Who was the president that led the US through WWI?
The main thing that started WW1 was the build up of all the nationalism in Europe and the political and economical rivalry between the nations. One burden that the US faced were getting troops over there and the supplies because it was a big distance from the US and the European countries. The president at that current time when we entered WW1 was Franklin D. Roosevelt. Justin Grebloski
World War II was the greatest human conflict in history, dwarfing all other wars. It was fought between the Allies (the U.S., Britain, France, Canada, Australia, Russia, and others) and the Axis Powers (primarily Germany, Japan, and Italy). In Europe, it began on September 1st, 1939 with Germany's invasion of Poland. In the Pacific it began on September 18th, 1931 with Japan's invasion of Mukden, China. It ended for the entire world on August 12, 1945 with Japan's "unconditional surrender".
The Germans attacked a British liner the Lusitania, even though the US had threatened Germany they would retaliate if they attacked our ships. There were 128 Americans on board the Lusitania. The US ordered their submarines to give warnings before attacking and Germany backed down for a little while. After President Wilson threatened Germany the US would get involved in the war, they sank five US ships. The allies were having a hard time defeating Germany and Wilson called for a declaration of war. Even though the war was fought in Europe, the burdens were great. There was trench warfare, chemical weapons, such as mustard gas, and was the first war ever to use airplanes. The fact that troops and supplies had to be transported so far away was also a great burden. The President that led the US through WWII was President Wilson. Jessica Gregis
There are some factors that led them to the war. They were Submarine Warfare and the Lusitania, Economics, Politics ,and the Zimmerman Telegram. Burdens were chemical weapons and alos supplying weapons and troops, Franklin Roosevelt was the president.
Germany's unrestricted U-Boat policy which was killing US Citizens. This is one of the reasons of WWI. The burdens were the chemical weapons and supplying troops with weapons, and transportation.Woodrow Wilson was the president during this time.
Some factors that led the U.S. into WWI were the assissination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and attacks on the ships. The burden on the U.S. was on the manufacturers for supplies for the war and banks for financial assistance to pay for the supplies. President Woodrow Wilson was the president that led us into WWI because he wanted to make the world safe for democracy.
Woodrow Wilson was the president during WWI. One of the things that made WWI is because Germany and the U.S. didn't agree. It placed a great burden on the u.s. because it cost us alot of money to keep fighting the war.
some of the factors were that the germans blew up some of are ships and started un restricted submarine warfare and the of the arch duke and it placed a big burden cause people had to stop eating meat and wheat and had are factories building stuff for the war instead of what they usually made and franklin roosevelt was the president that led us threw the war
Franklin D Roosevelt was the president during WW2. We got into this war because Japan wanted to battle us and they attacked our naval base in Pearl Harbor,Hawaii. That shook our country up and we fought through the war until we bombed Hiroshima and ended the war with Japan
A couple factors that led the U.S into the war was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand and the sinking of the Lusitania. It placed a great burden on the U.S. because even though it was being fought overseas, we needed to supply our troops with everything they needed to fight, which while created jobs over here, caused Americans to have to work for low wages and in terrible working conditions.
FDR was our president when we entered world war 1, the U.S. entered the war because of the lusitania, and germans sinking other of our ships. It was a great burden to us because of the distance and the U-boats
