President Obama signed a act called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to save or create more then 3.5 million new jobs, make essential investments in our infrastructure and to give 95% of workers out there already working a tax cut. I can't decide whether or yet that Obama was successful because this is actually the first time I ever looked at the presidency of Barrack Obama and I know for a fact that there is a lot of people still out there in the world still unemployed. I wouldn't do anything differently because the act that he signed seems like it should work and help many American people out to get them back on the feet and not have another depression hit the United States. ReplyDeleteIn Barack Obama's plan for American economy, he proposed a ten-year, sixty billion dollar "National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank." This would fund things such as high-speed trains, and alternative to flying in an airplane, energy efficiency, and clean energy, etc. This bank will also create two million new jobs.
ReplyDeleteObama also plans to create a green energy sector. This is a ten-year, 150 million dollar program. It will in turn create five million jobs.
President Obama's Universal health care plan is also supposed to help the American economy. He plans to spend fifty to sixty billion dollars a year to fund this program. This plan would allow every American citizen to have health coverage.
Barack Obama also promises to triple teh EITC benefit for minimum wage earners. This will help these workers reduce the taxes that they owe. In turn it will leave them with even more money in their pockets.
I feel that Obama is successful so far. I feel this because he has created the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which is a stimulus package created to help America get out of this economic downward spiral. He has also given bailouts to major automotive companies. I think that we need to give him more time to see what other good things he can do to save our economy.
If I were president, i would be doing most of the same things that Obama is doing because I feel he is doing great things. However, I would be pulling all of the troops out of Afghanistan as well as Iraq. I feel the has gone on too long and we are no longer needed in these countries.
President Obama had a 12 step plan for the economy.
ReplyDelete1. 1,000 tax cut for middle class families
2. energy rebate- tax excessive oil company profits
3. create jobs thru fair trade
4. create 5 million green jobs
5. new jobs thru national infrastructure investment
6. technology, innovation and creating jobs
7. support small business
8. labor
9. protect homeownership and crack down on mortgage fraud
10. address predatory credit card practices
11. reform bankruptcy laws
12. work/family balance
I really don’t think the president has been given enough time yet, but so far he hasn’t been to successful. Unemployment is extremely high, people are loosing their homes, more people are going hungry etc.

President Obama made the American Recovery plan which makes 3 million jobs for the american people and tax cuts for the middle class people, and to cut back on mortgages and fraud. But i dont think Obama has been giving enough time yet to really bring our country back on it feet and to create jobs and to make sure people have homes and feed their familys
ReplyDeleteObama come up with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This saved jobs and also created some. This also made 3 million jobs for the American people and tax cut from middle class. It also lowered mortgages and fraud. I dont think that he really has been givin enough time to do what he wants too. I think he will in time get jobs for people that need them, so they will be able to have a home and feed themselves and families.

Obama is the man, hands down =) His plan is mainly do work on bringing the U.S. out of debt. I think so far he is doing a terrific job. Especially his first 100 days. If i was the president, there is most likely not a single thing i would do differently. He signed an act called the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This is to create and save new jobs. It is also lowered mortages. His plan i feel with time will work. Everything will take time, especially with our economy the way it is. Because rome wasn't built in a day......
