  1. I would feel happy and excited because im at a new country and a new beginning to my life. A lot of the immigrants that came to Eillis Island on the steamships really were waiting to see the Statue of Liberty. Some obstacles would be getting situated by yourself because you didnt know anyone, other than that I dont know any other obstacles.

  2. I would be extremely excited to be arriving in America to start a new life. When I arrived I picture many people in a very crowded area and seeing the Statue of Liberty. Some obstacles would be meeting other people, finding your way around, and settling down to live.

  5. If I came to america on Ellis island, I would feel challenged. This probably isn't the place you would most likely find a job right away. Also, I myself would probably be looking for opportunity, which i would be upset if I couldn't find a good job. Also, working conditions back in that time were garbage, i'd probably get sick of stuff and quit. Obstacles.? What obstacles WOULDN'T i have to face..? Workin conditions is gar, pay is gar, food is gar, the places people be sleepin is all crammed up and hot, dudes sweatin on each other... To be honest, I can't think of one thing good about the old days, except gas wasn't nearly as much as it is today, but untill i start drivin, that don't even effect me... but that's the way life was back then, and people had to deal with it, so honestly I can't put myself in that situation.

  7. I would feel overwhelmed and excited arriving at Ellis Island. I am also a bit scared. I would hope to have family waiting for me. The biggest obstacles would be to find a good job and a place to live.

  10. I would feel excited to come to america. In ellis island, i would find a bunch of processing to go through. There are minimum requirements that i would have to meet. Once i get into the country, I would face many obstacles. Including jobs and housing.

  11. If i were coming to america, i would be pretty excited to see what would happen when i got my citizenship. Some of the things that would await me would probable be just a bunch of people like me waiting to get in. After that, i would have to find work and a residence, which for an immigrant would be very challenging.
