Day 16 - The Kennedy Assassination
Explore the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Discuss your thoughts regarding the controversy surrounding this event. Explore both sides of the conspiracy theory and provide your own opinion. Remember to support your opinion with evidence.
One side of the conspiracy claims that Lee Harvey Oswald killed President J. F. Kennedy. A government investigation concluded that he fired the bullet(s) that killed him. Eighty percent of the public supported this determination. It was said that Oswald acted alone, and he was anti-American and a communist sympathizer.
ReplyDeleteThe other side says that there was a conspiracy to kill Pres. Kennedy and that there was more than one shooter. There are very many things that make Americans believe this theory. Evidence was tampered with, differences of stories of where the shots came from, and so many facts were changed or covered up with the public never knowing the whole truth. The fact that Oswald was killed three days later only added fuel to the fire of a conspiracy.
I do believe there was a conspiracy in the whole plot to assassinate President Kennedy. The photographs in evidence don’t match what the public was told. The bullet projectory theory really makes you wonder if more than one gunman actually fired bullets. The fact that certain documents have never been released to the public also makes me think the government is covering something up. I don’t think the government was behind it, just covering up the true story.

People think that Lee Harvey Oswald had killed him. The government investigated that the bullet that killed him was fired by Lee. Over half of the public believe that this is what happened. After time they found out that Lee was anti-American and he acted alone.
ReplyDeletePeople also think there was a conspiracy to kill Kennedy. They also think that there was several shooters. There are so many things that make the people believe this. There was never any real evidence, it was tampered with. Different people came up with different storys, people covered up the truth. Three days after, Oswald killed and added tension to the conspiracy.
I do believe there was a conspiracy with the whole assassination of Kennedy. The photos that were taken don't match up with the storys that were told. People thinking there could be more then one shooter makes me wonder if there were more then one gunner. They public will never know the true about Kennedy & I think that they should. He was the president and people need to know what happened that day. I think the government was behind it and was hiding the truth, so people wouldn't be scared.

I believe what they said happened that Lee Harvey Oswalt acted alone in the assasination because he was anti american and supported communist views. And that he did it because he was afraid that kennedy was trying to get ride of communism. But the other side of the conspiracy says that there was more than one shooter and there are some facts to support this some of the documents were never realeased on it the photos that were taken dont match up with some of the stories told and the fact that there was two shots right after another. Then also oswalt being shot a couple days later being moved from one prison to the next gives you some doubt that maybe thats what did happen. But i still think that oswalt acted alone and that most of the stuff we were told was the truth but that thewy did leave some stuff out
ReplyDeletePresident John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. He was killed by a gunshot wound while riding in a Presidential Motorcade with his wife Jacqueline.
ReplyDeleteThere were many conspiracy theories reguarding his death that continue to this day. The Warsen Commission, the United States House Select Committee on assassination, and other government investigations came to the conclusion President Kennedy was killed by Lee Harvey Oswald. This was supported by most of the American Public. This was informally known as the Lone Gunman Theory.
Conspiracy theories range from the Federal Reserve, CIA, KGB, the mafia, to Cuban exile groups, I don't think they will ever know who is really responsible for President Kennedy's assassination. But I do however, think the government did a lot of covering up to keep it quiet.
A lot of stories went on about the assassination of John F. Kennedy. One part was that Lee Harvey Oswald had killed him alone and the other side said that it was the government that put the stake on Kennedy. Some others say that there was more then one shooter too because eye witnesses said that they heard more then one shot and they came from different directions or places. John was supposedly shot at three times, first hit him in the chest and the second missed, the third was the final bullet that took his head square off and instantly killed him right then and there. I believe that there were more then one person that killed President Kennedy but Oswald just took the blame and didn't want to get the other in trouble. Firing three shots under 10 seconds shooting at a moving car is hard and then again they have to reload that bolt action rifle thats why I think there was more then one person but then again Lee Harvey Oswald also used to be in the Armed Forces. ReplyDeleteI think the Kennedy assasination was a conspiracy. I do not beleive the man who shot and killd him was alone in the whole event. Why would someone just randomly want to kill such a great president.? I think the man who killed him was in some kind of trouble with the mob maybe. And then maybe the mob wanted kennedy dead because he renigged on a deal maybe. I thought the man who assasinated him might have been alone at first, but when someone came through a whole crowd of people to kill oswald, then i second thought myself. The man who killed Oswald must have killed him so he wouldn't rat/snitch on anyone who was involved with the reasoning of why Oswald killed Kennedy in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI think it was a conspiracy I think the government set it up cause the people that where suppose to be guarding him were told to move to one of the government offical's and as soon as he moved the shot was fired. And i don't believe Oswald was alone because he would have had a spotter telling him if it was clear to shoot and to make sure nobody was around.
ReplyDeleteThe kennedy assasinatione was not a conspiracy, the magic bullet was a shot tht could actually be legit, I think people jump the gun when someone like that dies
